WHO WE ARE
We are parishioners who are called to serve our Neighbors in Need in Greene, Putnam, and Hancock Counties by providing emergency financial assistance for rent, temporary lodging, utilities, food, clothing, prescription medication, transportation assistance, and more.
WHAT WE DO
Focusing on hunger, housing, and health, St. Vincent de Paul at COKAS meets basic needs, removes barriers to stability, and creates paths to self-sufficiency through direct services, education, and empowerment to provide help and hope to neighbors in need in the tri-county area.
HOME VISITS
Our Home Visit is the heart of what we do at St. Vincent de Paul at COKAS. Visiting neighbors in need in their homes respects their dignity and provides a private setting so they can freely discuss their personal challenges. During Home Visits, our caseworkers conduct an initial assessment, and then collaborate with individuals and families to create an action plan for them moving forward. We help them achieve stability by providing short term financial assistance along with caring spiritual support.
OUR MISSION
With a mission to provide help and hope to neighbors in need, St. Vincent de Paul at COKAS is serving individuals, families, and communities in Middle Georgia, stabilizing those in crisis and creating paths to self-sufficiency.
OUR IMPACT
Each year, St. Vincent de Paul at COKAS helps over 1,500 families. We give direct aid in the form of temporary housing, rent, utilities, food, clothing, and household goods.
DONATE
We rely upon the donations of our generous parishioners to provide financial assistance to our Neighbors in Need. Please donate to the monthly second collection for SVdP or give online through the COKAS website.
