FUN NIGHTS; DISABILITIES MINISTRY
The Fun Night Disability Ministry embraces, celebrates, and supports members with exceptionalities / intellectual disabilities with their families in a simple monthly gathering. Families and individuals are warmly welcomed, learn Catholic prayers, relive the Gospel in a meaningful way, such as through artistic expression, games, and simple theater, and all share a simple meal. “No one, however weak, is denied a share in the victory of the cross. No one is beyond the help of the prayer of Christ” (St. Leo the Great).

Men’s Bible Study offers and encourages serious spiritual reflection on the words of Sacred Scripture in a small-group atmosphere weekly. Faith-sharing takes place in one of two ways: using a Catholic Study Bible, the members read and discuss what the inspired text means to them personally, or they discuss the Sunday Lectionary, reflecting on the weekend homily given for those particular scriptures.

Evening Bible Study selects two unique studies each year, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. A different book is used each session as a guide for small group discussion, facilitated by a group leader. Past studies have included books from the Old and New Testaments. Meetings are currently held on Monday nights.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which unbaptized adults are formed in the teachings and practices of Catholicism and are initiated into the Catholic Church. This process also prepares baptized Christians to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. Parishioners may participate in this ministry in various ways. Sponsors are needed to share this journey of faith with catechumens and candidates. Parishioners can invite those who have expressed the desire to learn about and join the Catholic Church by attending scheduled meetings. All parishioners should pray for those who are in the RCIA process. The RCIA team welcomes the newly initiated to join the ministry by sharing their faith journey with new inquirers in the future.
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
